Description:
All ARIN mailing lists do NOT support senders with DMARC records.
What this means is that senders who have DMARC enabled will be able to post to the mailman mailing list (and it will show up online via the archives), but when mailman distributes (relays) the senders message to all users subscribed to that list, each users MTA’s will reject the message.
This is currently happening to the open consult http://lists.arin.net/pipermail/arin-consult/2017-April/000792.html mailing list, as just ONE example. The implications of not fixing this is tremendous.

Thank you for your suggestion, numbered 2017.11 upon confirmed receipt, that suggests ARIN add DMARC support to our mailing lists.
It is not clear if it is presently possible to operate a mailing list in a manner which meets both existing community expectations for mailing list behavior and also aligns with DMARC’s expectations regarding header/sender alignment. As a result of your suggestion, we are researching the use of DMARC on ARIN’s mailing lists to determine how it may be accommodated with a minimum of impact to participants in the ARIN community. As part of that research, we will open a community consultation on this topic by Q3 of 2017.

After reviewing implementation options with the community, we deployed our solution to provide DMARC support for ARIN mailing lists, allowing subscribers from DMARC-enabled domains to participate in mailing list discussions.
Having completed the work, we are now closing this suggestion.
