Election Instructions

The Voting Contact for each ARIN Member organization must have a valid ARIN Online account to be eligible to vote in ARIN Elections. Learn more on our Voting Contacts page.

Nominations

Any individual, regardless of ARIN Membership status, may self-nominate for any open Board of Trustees, Advisory Council, or Number Resource Organization Number Council (NRO NC) position. However, nominees should be aware of the specific requirements and responsibilities for the position they are self-nominating for:

All candidates for ARIN Elections are advised of the Nomination and Appointment Conflict of Interest List.

All nominations must be received and accepted by ARIN’s published close of nominations deadline. Nominees must submit a completed nomination questionnaire in order to qualify for consideration.

Submit a Nomination

During the open nomination period, self-nominations are submitted via an online form. The information from these questionnaires will be provided to the Assessment Firm and used to evaluate nominees per the directions provided in the Election Proceesses document.

Board Nominees with completed submissions will also be asked to digitally sign a release form for the independent, third-party background checks – the results of which will be taken into consideration in the classification of nominee qualifications, along with the questionnaire responses, and interviews.

The current nominee questionnaires can be found on the ARIN website.

Petitions

Nominees assessed as “Not Qualified” may petition the community to be presented on the slate of candidates. Petition requests must be received within seven calendar days of the call for petitions. Signatures are due within 14 calendar days of the call for petitions. To sign a petition, you must be an eligible Voting Contact. Please see the Election Procedures page for details on this process.
