The American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) is pleased to collaborate with the Caribbean Network Operators Group (CaribNOG) and the Government of Jamaica to host the first ARIN Caribbean Forum in Jamaica. The theme for this event is “Strengthening Internet Resilience in Jamaica.”
The program includes presentations on topics such as network autonomy and design best practices, number resource acquisition, and IPv6 deployment. In addition, there will be presentations on current government plans for improving local infrastructure resilience. All Internet stakeholders are encouraged to attend, including network operators, engineers, system administrators, public sector technocrats, computer network specialists, cybersecurity officers, and policy-makers.
The agenda will cover the following topics:
- Network Autonomy and Resilience
- Community Network Development and Resilience Planning
- IPv6 and ASN Services - Obtaining Resources, Creating Networking Plans
- Q&A - Open microphone to answer your questions!
Attendees will gain actionable guidance for designing effective Internet resilience strategies, collaborate with peers and experts from across functions and organizations, and better understand the role that ARIN, ISOC, and CaribNOG play in supporting Internet Governance and policy development.
This event follows the launch of the ARIN Caribbean Forum in April 2018 and, like all ARIN events, is free to attend.
This special forum will travel to two separate locations in Jamaica. The first event will take place in Kingston on 11 September and the second will take place in Montego Bay on 13 September. Registration is now open for both events:
