Today, ARIN implemented changes to the Organization Create/Organization Recovery process in ARIN Online. These changes were originally announced on 15 December 2020 and explained in a blog post here: https://teamarin.net/2020/11/30/enhancements-to-organization-create-organization-recovery/
Currently, ARIN does not require a Registration Services Agreement (RSA) at the point in time when organizations establish a relationship with ARIN and create an Organization Identifier (Org ID) in ARIN Online. (The RSA spells out the agreement between ARIN and an organization that wants to apply for Internet number resources or use ARIN services such as RPKI.) However, completing the RSA later in the request process can cause delays if, for example, the organization name provided initially is different than the organization name as signed in the agreement, or a legal review of the RSA is required.
To help reduce delays and provide better customer service, ARIN will now collect an RSA from organizations when they create an Org ID in ARIN Online, or when a user with an organization begins an Org ID recovery process. Collecting the RSA earlier means that all organizations who are able to manage registrations in ARIN Online are under an RSA, and that initial requests for resources can be completed more quickly, as an RSA is already in place.
If you need more information about this change, you can open an Ask ARIN ticket in ARIN Online, or call our Registration Services Team at 703.227.0660, Monday – Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Eastern Time.
